Gang Busters Quiz - Answer #4

The easiest Joint to rub out is the Hotel Belgrave. Only 3 hits are required to wipe it out. Your boys score an average of 4 hits per player-turn. But hitting the Belgrave is expensive. The Joint Guards will nick an average of 3 of your boys. Jeez, dat ain't good.

The cheapest Joint to hit is Serva's Market. Your expected first-turn casualties are equal at BOTH Serva's and Middle House, but, since 4 hits are required to rub out Serva's, compared to 7 at Middle House, the shootout at Middle House will be longer - exposing your hoods to more return fire!

The following table may be useful to aspiring dons...such as Don Greenwood or Don Hawthorne. If might be useful if your name is not Don too!

The probabilities in the table can be added for multi-piece sides in a battle. Thus, the expected number of hits scored by a 4-strength Racketeer, 3-strength Thug, and 2 Joint Guards (from a Level 1 Joint) is 0.67 + 1.00 + 1.00 = 2.67.
